The latest edition of our Truth About Holiday Shopping study revealed that the ‘Season of Giving’ appears to be turning into the ‘Season of Getting,’ at least for young American men. 79% of young men in the U.S. say that the holidays are a time to indulge (compared to 63% of young women), and when asked who gives the best holiday gifts, 1 in 4 young men say, ‘Me! I treat myself’.

As we enter the holiday season, things are looking somewhat unfavorable at first glance with 55% of young Americans saying they’d outsource all of their holiday shopping if they could. However, it’s actually a great opportunity for companies as 73% of young Americans believe that brands could help make their holiday shopping easier. Brands that can help make choosing the perfect gift even easier with tailored recommendations and holiday discounts will resonate with younger consumers.
